UPDATE: J Capri’s condition stable, artistes appeal for blood donation

A post made on dancehall artist J Capri’s Instagram page has assured fans that the 23-year-old singjay is in stable condition at the University Hospital after a motor vehicle accident last night. The post also said that J Capri underwent emergency surgery and is showing positive signs. “There is currently a blood drive in aid of Jordan at any blood bank in Jamaica,” the post said.

Various members of the dancehall fraternity have also taken to social media to appeal to persons to donate blood on behalf of the dancehall rising star:

Spice: “MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU Jordan. if I was in Jamaica I would be the first one to Donate at the Hospital. She met in a serious car accident this morning. Prayer is Powerful!  Jamaica: If you can give blood. Go to UWI hospital and donate in the name Jordan Phillips from 8am-3:30 p.m.”

Popcaan: “God please be with her through all this. all my prayers going up for you #jcapri.” Shaggy: “Please help’ best wishes to the family in this difficult time.” Demarco: “Jordan Phillips aka JCAPRI is in need of a lot of blood.
We are asking all well wishers to donate blood by UWI hospital ASAP! Please donate in the name Jordan Phillips.

Opening hours are from 8 a.m. — 3:30 p.m.!” JCapri is known for hits such “Wine and Kotch”, “Pull Up To My Bumpa”, “Reverse It” and recently “Boom and Ben Over”.
