Unidentified body found in St James

ST JAMES, Jamaica – The body of an unidentified man was found with gunshot wounds about 6:00 am Sunday in Long Bay district, St James.

Residents reported seeing the body lying on the roadway and summoned officers from the Barrett Town Police Station. The lawmen say the scene was processed and the body was removed to the morgue.

The body is of brown complexion, slim build, about 173 centimetres (5 feet 8 inches) long and a tattoo of three stars on the right hand. It was clad in a khaki shirt, black jeans pants and a pair of red and blue sneakers.

The police estimate that the man was in his twenties.

Anyone who may be able to assist in identifying the body is being asked to contact the Barrett Town Police at 953-7899, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
