Slain Denham Town Cop’s Gun Recovered, Man In Custod

The police have recovered the service pistol of slain Constable Lynden Barrett, who was murdered in Denham Town on July 21.

The weapon was recovered by the Police on Wellington Street, Kingston 14 on Wednesday.

One man was arrested in connection with the seizure.

Police reports are that about 12:05 a.m., a team of officers was on patrol duties in the area when a group of men aroused their suspicion.

The men were accosted and searched.

One of the men was found to be in possession of a Glock 17 pistol and eighteen 9mm rounds.

Later checks revealed that the weapon was the service pistol of the deceased constable.

The identity of the man taken into custody is being withheld pending further investigations.
