Sir David Simmons (left), has indicated that he may sue head of the Tivoli Committee, Lloyd D’Aguilar.
Yesterday afternoon, Sir David said D’Aguilar, may have gone too far and following consultations with lawyer for the commission he could sue.

Chairman of the West Kingston Commission of Enquiry, Sir David Simmons, has indicated that he may sue head of the Tivoli Committee, Lloyd D’Aguilar, over statements about the conduct of the enquiry.

It’s the latest development in the relationship between the Commission chairman and D’Aguilar, who was thrown out of the enquiry last year.

In a letter to the editor published yesterday in The Gleaner, D’Aguilar took issue with Sir David’s move to refer his comments about undisclosed witness statements to the Director of Public Prosecution.

He also repeated his accusation of Sir David as a political hack and restated his view that enquiry is biased.

Yesterday afternoon, Sir David said D’Aguilar, may have gone too far and following consultations with lawyer for the commission he could sue.
