This was disclosed at a press conference hosted by the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) at its Dumfries Road offices in Kingston today. Over the period, 109 security force fatalities were recorded and of that figure 98 involved the JCF while three involved the Jamaica Defence Force. Seven were deaths in custody and one was recorded as fatality-other. INDECOM head Terrence Williams said that the decrease was as a result of work that was done not only by his organisation, but by the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency and the Inspectorate of Constabulary.
